1925 Gold Sovereign – King George V – London

The last year that King George V sovereigns were minted in London. The coin was relatively scarce until the Mint began issuing an additional 886,000 coins in the late forties and early fifities – much to the dismay of collectors. These restrikes are indistinguishable from the originals unfortunately. The 1925 Gold Sovereign featuring King George V and the George Dragon design.. The lack of mintmark denotes the London Mint.
